It's probably a stupid question, but I wondered if there is anybody,
anywhere, using the ".top" top-level domain who is not using it to send
spam?

I recently noticed that about 75% of the spam received by one of my
non-Gmail.com email addresses, comes from a variety of
"someth...@something.top" addresses; and that I have received zero legit
messages (so far) from any ".top" top-level domain address.

Unfortunately I get occasional false-positives in that email's spam folder,
so I need to manually check them frequently. Lately it's up to about 50
spam messages daily. It would help if I can pre-filter things I know will
be spam.

I realize it could be dangerous to assume that every sender with a .top
address is sending me spam. But for now, it seems to work.

Thanks,
Andy
