Its more a lack of a feature in the FF3 version, but I don't have much time now so I don't know when it will be added in. If you don't like it you can disable the Ctrl+D support in the options and it will fall back to just adding to Firefox bookmarks. You can still add to GMarks from the menu or from the GMarks star or sidebar.
