Hi. I use the GMarks and Firefox's Bookmarks menus side-by-side when I am at work in order to keep work-related bookmarks separate and close at hand. The idea is to store personal links using GMarks and work- related ones using Firefox bookmarks (ideally with a copy also stored within GMarks and tagged "work-related"). I am pretty sure that I have successfully saved Firefox bookmarks in the presence of the GMarks extension in the past (although this may have been on another machine or in a different version of Firefox), BUT I find that I am unable to do that now. Here's what I've been doing: Use Firefox's Bookmarks menu to "Bookmark this page." The interface that pops up is the GMark saving dialog. I thought perhaps this would result in saving a GMark AND a bookmark, which would be ideal. I tried saving it with a label and without. None of these efforts resulted in a bookmark being saved within Firefox, only within GMarks. I couldn't find a setting that would allow me to change this.
Please someone tell me how to save bookmarks in addition to GMarks. At the moment, it looks like this will only be possible if I disable GMarks, which I don't want to do. --amanda in albuquerque --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "GMarks" group.
