FYI, I was able to somewhat reproduce, and somewhat resolve the issue. Steps to reproduce: 1. Start FF, log into a Google site 2. Refresh or GMarks to "log in" the addon (doesn't log in automatically due to other bug) 3. Open a new tab to any other website 4. Close FF, when prompted, choose "Save and Quit" to remember your current tabs 5. Reopen FF, GMarks appears to log in automatically 6. Try to delete/change bookmarks, nothing happens
I have a feeling that FF can somehow cache the state of GMarks to make it appear logged in, but in reality you're not logged in due to the authentication bug (http://groups.google.com/group/gmarks/ browse_thread/thread/83647f15935df1a0?hl=en) To get myself to a state where I could delete/change bookmarks, starting with the above scenario, I did the following: 1. Log into a Google site 2. Refresh GMarks from the menu Even when I did this, I had some weird functionality (e.g. I tried deleting two test bookmarks, but they didn't immediately delete from the toolbar. When I refreshed GMarks, only 1 of the two deleted bookmarks were gone, but I was then able to delete the remaining bookmark and it was immediately removed from the toolbar and GMarks window, as expected). Not sure if this gets you exactly what you need, but hopefully it gives you some things to try.
