Yeah, the cause is two-fold: 1. Google made changes to their authentication process; and 2. the author of this addon hasn't had time to fix it.
I am getting so tired of having to sign in to a Google service just to retrieve my Google Bookmarks. If the author hasn't got time to fix this I completely understand. Maybe it is time to post the source code so someone else can look at it and fix it. The author of Gmail Manager sorted it out rather promptly. It shouldn't be so difficult here since it is essentially the same issue.
