oh i just figured it out i installed another add-on for additional buttons and when i clicked near the top of the browser it let me customize the toolbar, (i think that might be a little different in this version who knows) but when i replace the buttons with the other ones they just automatically pop up with the sidebar which i find so much easier to navigate when looking for bookmarks. but thanks for the tips i didn't think to do any of that but just glad i got it figured out. just feels like i have to fiddle with it every time. thanks for the help!
