Thanks, Jumper. I saw that page but I really don't know how to do that.
Really dating myself but I'm old school (1981 PC-XT/DOS girl :) and I don't
do "dragging" to install stuff. I always open up or run the file.

Exactly how do I drag that file "into my browser"? I mean do I have a small
window of FF5 open overlaid on the desktop and then put the file on the
desktop and drag it from there ? I can't think of any other way. And what
would be/should be running in that browser window when I do that? What
happens when I do that? Does FF5 automatically just recognize that a dragged
"invader" has appeared inside it's personal window and begins doing its
upgrade? Gives a certain confirmation or choice of action message or ??? It
seems weird -- then again, I know the Mac folks do lots of dragging, just no
Mac experience.

What I do to keep organized is I use a folder called DOWNLOADS and put
everything into it. After downloading I go there, open or run the file and
it installs (apparently because it's an .exe and not a .xpi). I keep a
backup of the folder in case I need to reinstall then clean the folder out.
So this is foreign to me, this .xpi dragging thing.

It just feels so strange. Can you explain more? I really appreciate your
help. I am considered a "power" user w/lots of macro, scripts, wysiwyg web
sites, database, spreadsheet construction experience, but I just have not a
clue about this method of installation/upgrade and so it's just very
perplexing. Maybe there is a good lower level reference article I could read
that might help?

Thanks so much :)
