Hi Hassan,

Thanks for the offer of help! We are still actively developing GMAT and
will release a Beta version in a month or so. We have switched to Cmake for
building GMAT so it will be MUCH easier to compile GMAT once the new beta
release is made public.

We can use help in lots of areas. Have you seen our contributor
wiki<http://gmatcentral.org/display/GW/For+Contributors>? If you are
interested in what we are currently doing you can see
here<http://li64-187.members.linode.com:8080/secure/Dashboard.jspa?selectPageId=12400>
 and here<http://li64-187.members.linode.com:8080/issues/?filter=12903>. How
familiar with GMAT are you. Have you used it to solve problems? Have you
compiled GMAT? One easy way to get involved is to help with Beta testing, then
get more involved in applications and/or development from there.

Steve

Subject: GMAT development opportunities

Dear Steven Hughes

I am writing to you to inquire about the GMAT open source framework. I am an
embedded software engineer with some
background in controls and numerical algorithms and astrodynamics. I am a US
citizen and worked 2 years for eaton corporation
as an embedded software engineer. My real passion is to work in the space
industry and as such I want to become a contributor for the GMAT opensource
project. I am wondering if there is active development going on with the GMAT
framework and what areas and teams are currently
looking for contributors. I can help in testing, debugging, software
development, and algorithms development, and simulations
development on matlab etc. I would really appreciate it if you could get back
to me regarding contributing to the GMAT project.

regards,
Hassan Ahmed
