"Apple compilers" are actually based on LLVM clang. Indeed. Plus a bunch of bugs. Does GMP pass all checks with the latest clang on Linux? Of course. > Should GMP recognise and block Apple compilers? By this you'll simply prevent large projects, like HomeBrew, to build GMP, together with all those many projects based on GMP (like GCC, but many other too). Not good.
