Dear all, Suppose one has a 'blocking' (nodes, lines, transfinite lines and (recombined) plane surfaces)... something like:
+-----+----+ | | | ..+-----+----+.... (x axis) (it's a bit more complex) when this is meshed (2D) one gets a nice quad mesh. Now I would like to save time and effort and copy/mirror this, say, using the x-axis. If one hits 2D meshing then the new 'blocking' has obviously lost the transfinite/recombined settings. Does anybody has examples of the 'Dilate' (and 'Duplicata' commands)? Geometrical entities are copied but not the attributes. Next step was to extrude the model; the positive y-part and then copy/mirror the 3D (hexahedral) mesh and hopefully also the 'physical volumes and surfaces'. Is this possible? Thanks in advance!
