hi,
i have another problem with stl files:
how can i set Physical Groups in a stl files?
all geometry is composed of a single surface that defines the boundary, and a single volume inside.
can i split the bondary in different surfaces? and the volume?
thank you very much

i can't send you this file, it's confidential.

i draw with solidworks another file, that give me the same error.

Wow, Solidworks exports binary STL with an ASCII STL header...

Change the first line of the file : "solid" -> "xolid" (or anything else than "solid", but with the same length), that should work.

I've added a small hack in our import routine so that it should work

even with bad headers. Give tomorrow's nightly snapshot a try.

PS : don't send confidential files to [email protected] : this is a public mailing list.

thank you very much

Michele
