Dear Sirs, my name is Claudio Comis and I am a PhD candidate in Energetics at the University of Padua.
I tried to import into GMSH Environment a .bdf file format, related to a mesh 3D of an elbow. This mesh contains 4 patches: 1)Inlet; 2)Outlet; 3)Symmetry (in correspondence of the elbow centerline); 4)Wall. The problem is that GMSH merges component 1), 2), and 3) under the same Elementary entity. As a result, I cannot modify further this mesh. Is there the possibility to avoid this unwanted merging? (I already tried (successfully) by importing one patched at a time into GMSH environment, but this way seems to me not so good, when the number of components is high). Thank You in advance.
