Dear author,

I am trying to make a 2D mesh using Gmsh, but the connectivity is
unreal. The msh file presents more elements than the mesh really has,
some of them do not make any sense. I am sending the .msh file attached
so you can see what I am talking about.
I would like to know what can I do to solve this problem? I am using
Gmsh version 2.5.0 (Linux OS).

Relax - your mesh file is fine. By default Gmsh saves all the elements (0D, 1D & 2D in your case). If you only want the 2D elements, define a physical surface. For more details, see the manual...

Thank you in advance,
