Hi Geordie,
Thanks, I had given up on doing it with Gmsh and used another software
instead, but only setting physical volumes and no boundaries and using
the technique you described seems to do the trick

Dear all,
Is there a way to evaluate the volume of a 3d mesh? It's not part
of the
statistics
If the mesh is strictly 3d, you can use
. Tools/Plugins:
- New view
- MathEval (Expression0 = 1)
- Integrate
but if there are also lower dimensional elements, their measures will
also be added to the answer... See

for a discussion. (Add do let me know if you come up with a better
answer as I'm still looking myself.)
