dear experts. what should be the typical steps to perform right after importing .stp file into gmsh to clean duplicate geometries like lines and surfaces?
currently, i save it as .geo file and add one line "Coherence;" in the end of the file. otherwise, i find duplicate geometries will generate duplicate nodes when i do mesh. for ver. 2.5, if i do Option > Geometry > ' Cut and Merge Faces (experimental) ', the gmsh will crash. or are there steps i need to do in generating .stp file (I use solidwork) before i export? many thanks in well advance.
