Hello,

I programmed a 3D geo file.

Gmsh can mesh it with big characteristic length cl=100, giving 686
triangles. That means there isn’t any syntax error in my file.

But reducing the characteristic length cl to cl=1 in order to get more
triangles, and then meshing the volume, Gmsh gives the following error
message:

Error : Self intersecting surface mesh, computing intersections (this
could take a while)

Info : 1340 intersecting faces have been saved into 'intersect.pos'

You can open (or merge) the 'intersect.pos' file in gmsh. This will show you where the self intersection takes place.

Or you could post the .geo file on the gmsh mail-list for others to have a look.
