Hi all,

I have a simple question about trr files. Are they transferable across different version(s), and more importantly, different bit architectures (32bit to 64bit and vice versa). Please let me know.

All GROMACS file formats are insensitive to endian-ness or machine word size. The .tpr and .cpt file formats are versioned and fully backward-compatible. So you can't run a new .tpr on an old mdrun.
