Hi Mark,
But when I do the following:
plot "potential.xvg" using 1:2 with lines according to what you introduced, it
gives "Segmentation fault (core dumped)".
Can you explain to me how to solve the problem?

You'll need to consult the grace installation guide. Note the advice
here http://www.gromacs.org/Documentation/How-tos/Graphing_Data. I
recommend learning to use gnuplot (which is available already as a Cygwin
package) - it is less convenient to use than grace for "show me the damn graph
already", but ultimately leads to better outcomes.
