I tagged a release_0_8_1 branch since we're close to the release. Feel free to dump all your hold-back code to head now :)
For the branch itself (which I invite core developers to take care of till the release), we only want to fix the $pkglibdir thing, any segfault that comes out in the last minute, any build error and finally proceed with usual release procedure (dox & version updates).
