Hi, Thanks for the quick reply. The changes are based upon ver 0.7.2. Yes, the plugin doesn't fork or exec stand-alone player.

When you say a multi-threaded plugin, you mean it doesn't fork & exec the standalone player ? Anyway, the way to proceed would be to post a patch to our savannah site, https://savannah.gnu.org/patch/?group=gnash so we can look over the changes.
