Hi guys. AFAIK, the Adobe Flash plugin also runs on different speeds in Linux Distros depending on which browser used, as I tested with in Firefox and Opera on Ubuntu Hardy Heron before. I can't do much testing right now as a) Mint Box is with a friend right now, b) I killed my zoo of pet Linux Virtual Boxes for now because I'm currently experiencing hard drive space crunch time c) I'm waiting to get the other OLPC XO unit back from the fine folks at http://www.ateneo.edu/index.php?p=255 before I can resume Gnash-XO testing as the primary dev XO unit with me is running Adobe Flash and I'm tired of wiping and reinstalling to test SWFs in different environmental conditions. d) I'm behind with a project at work and am pretty swamped right now TeddyMark is a Flash Runtime/CPU benchmarking tool written in AS2 & AS3 meant to test performance of SWFs in different environmental conditions. Basically it has a bunch of instances of Teddy the Robot Teddy Bear running around the screen, with an FPS counter running at the upper left hand of the screen. I'll try to release TeddyMark, both AS2 and AS3 ports (.fla + as sources) under GPL or some other open source license pending permission from my other buds who contributed to it as soon as I'm less busy at work. The OLPC XO version of TeddyMark AS2 only runs 16 Teddy bears, so it's too light for benchmarking on desktops. Meanwhile, you guys can play with http://www.phlashers.com/projects/teddymark/teddyMarkAS2_100.html http://www.phlashers.com/projects/teddymark/teddyMarkAS2_150.html http://www.phlashers.com/projects/teddymark/teddyMarkAS2_200.html Which have 100, 150, and 200 Teddies running around the 600x400 stage. Feel free to rip the .swfs from those urls for local testing.
