I turned on the very first level of verbosity in gnash-0.8.5 while
playing youtube videos and discovered that my filesystem had filled
up with many gigabytes of a gnash-dbg.log file.
I suppose the answer is, as my doctor says, "If it hurts, don't do that."
But it might be worth looking at the top endlessly-repeated messages
that come out in that state, to see if they can be easily fixed.
With a single copy of gnash running (after playing a youtube video,
while it's showing you the names of other videos you could play),
it logs continuously. Over 10 seconds it logs 130K of messages.

I guess I have to turn off logging totally? Nope, that doesn't work.
Unchecking "Log to file" and clicking "OK" doesn't reduce the logging.
You actually have to kill gnash and restart it to affect the logging.
