This:

git diff 
5c76984eea636cdf301b70012a77d8d8e7f6e611..f5170a8879abdeb7f99176d8444bcdd6785d120a

shows lots of differences between before and after your patches, so it
seems they weren't fully reverted. It's difficult to tell either from
the commit messages or the long diff exactly what has changed between
those two commits.
