Hi all, I've just committed the last of my 'ready made' code for i386/amd64. I had been hoping 2.2 would be out before I made all the commits, but since upstream is being unhelpful (read slow)...
== What it is == A set of changes to Builders core that will (hopefully) make it easier to build multiple arches. At the moment those arches are i386/amd64. It is able to build *either* amd64 *or* i386, not both at the same time yet (see below). == What it isn't == Well, finished. It wont be until I've worked out how apt-utils or reprepro work properly so Builder can share the archive between the two architectures (at the moment you can only have one). == How to use it == There is a "BUILDARCH" configuration option. Set this to the architecture you desire. == Testers wanted == I've tested it a lot in the past, but some of my last minute changes were not tested doing an AMD64 run. If you can test it would be great. == What i need help with == - If you can assist with understanding reprero/apt-utils that would be great. - amd64 testing. == Plans == Finish the hacking off, so it can build both without clobbering each others repositories. Other stuff. kk -- Karl Goetz, (Kamping_Kaiser / VK5FOSS) Debian user / gNewSense contributor http://www.kgoetz.id.au No, I won't join your social networking group
