In metad, wodim and k3b are not finding the scsi driver for the cd-rw. Below is an excerpt from dmesg and an example of the error messages. Below those are the output from 'wodim --devices' and 'wodim -scanbus'
Is the hardware dependent on proprietary drivers or are there Free or Open Source drivers to import from Debian or Fedora?
