Looks like a lot of assumptions are made in the sleep script your system
doens't match.
I am using gNewSense, updated a few weeks ago.
Lemote people, can you test this with gNewSense?

A test for network-manager is needed here too.
The network manager is installed, and it works, and I use it often.
