Total speculation, but I expect Ubuntu will include Debian's Iceweasel alongside their Firefox if it gets maintained by Debian.

Anyways, here I am. I'm the maintainer of xulrunner, co-maintainer of firefox/iceweasel and co-maintainer of seamonkey/iceape in Debian. As such, I'd be happy if it was possible, in a near future, to share our efforts on the "IceLizards" programs. As you may or may not have heard, Debian is going to rebrand Firefox as Iceweasel. We already have rebranded Thunderbird as Icedove, and Iceape, rebranding for Seamonkey is going to be uploaded soon. Since the etch release timeline doesn't really help us here, we're just going to rename for the moment. But for lenny (etch+1), we really want collaboration with the gnuzilla project to provide free IceLizards in Debian. While I'm here, I'd like to know if there is an (easy) way to get the patch(es) you applied to the original mozilla code for functional changes (i.e. everything that is not rebranding or removal of non-free files). Cheers, Mike -- http://gnuzilla.gnu.org -- Regards, Dave _______________________________________________ gNewSense-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/gnewsense-users
