There are several newer, higher quality webcams that rely on the linux-uvc driver (implementing the USB Video Class standard), which is free software. It is not in the kernel, but you can get it from http://linux-uvc.berlios.de . I purchased a Logitech QuickCam Pro 5000 and it works fine with this driver, using gNewSense, for rms's use. I tested it with Ekiga - worked great, even under low light. They have really great quality, but they are a little bit more expensive (we paid $60 for the QuickCam). -Justin _______________________________________________ gNewSense-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/gnewsense-users
