Dear friends,

I am using the extensions Adblock PLus 0.7.5.1, ToCyrillic 0.5.11,
DownThemAll! 0.9.9.10 and, since FF/BD constantly crashes, I now also use
SessionManager 0.4.3. As far as I can tell these are all updated and FF/BD
compatible extensions (I am using Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US;
rv:1.8.0.12) Gecko/20070602 Ubuntu/deltad-security Firefox/1.5.0.12).

My huntch is that extensions are to blame. For example, when I have all the
extensions enabled FF/BD does not even start but complains about "error
launching browser window: no XBL binding for browser" so each time I have to
comment out one extension at least in
/home/andrei/.mozilla/firefox/r936t724.default/extensions.ini

Here is what I have there now:
---
[ExtensionDirs]
#Extension0=/usr/lib/firefox/extensions/[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Extension1=/home/andrei/.mozilla/firefox/r936t724.default/extensions/{d10d0bf8-f5b5-c8b4-a8b2-2b9879e08c5d}

Konqueror is a fantastic browser, alas it does not work well with gmail and
not at all with google's blog (blogspot). It does, however, spellcheck
while I type which FF/BD does not. Nor does Konqueror have the extensions I
need. I tried Epiphany (which is a new version of Galeon, right?) and which
I like a lot, but which tends to crash almost as much as FF/BD (but unlike
Konqueror, Epiphany does work with the Google stuff and seems to be fully
AJAXed).

I would definitely settle for Konqueror if not for the google issue. So
fixing my friggin FF/BD is still something I would very much want to
achieve.

I should add that I installed gNewSense on my laptop, but with no extensions
on FF/BD and it does not crash so I really suspect that the extensions are
the cause for this.

Anyway - any advice/suggestions are more than welcome!

Kind regards,

Andrei
