The status of the Original Artistic License is unclear in gNewSense. Debian considers this license to be Free under the DFSG, but the Free Software Foundation believes it is ambiguous because of wording and has determined it to be non-free. This is not to be confused with the Modified or Clarified Artistic License which the FSF and Debian both consider to be Free Software.
