Hi Chris, Thanks for your offer to help!
Here is what I am trying to do: I want to install a GPLed video application called Miro<http://www.getmiro.com/>. The installation notes say the following: ------- To install the latest version of Miro on Ubuntu Feisty, you need to add the following repository to your apt sources list: deb http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/pculture.org/miro/linux/repositories/ubuntufeisty/ To install the latest version of Miro on Ubuntu Dapper, you need to add the following repository to your apt sources list: deb http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/pculture.org/miro/linux/repositories/ubuntudapper/ ----- Dapper did not work, feisty is dangerous, but I know that I least one person managed to install miro on gNewSense using an Ubuntu package. any idea what the trick is?
