Yes, that's a non-free binary blob. These are what we are trying to find. The files including them may claim to be under the GPL, but since we don't have access to the code used to generate that binary information, it's not really free software. I've already filed a bug for that specific file (along with others in drivers/net/ here: http://bugs.gnewsense.org/Bugs/00143 I'll update the wiki so it says the file has been reported as non-free.
