I am a new comer, from Hong Kong, hello everybody :-)
I would like to point out the whole alsa-driver modules are removed. However, it seems that they have no problem, i.e. they are free software. At least in my case, using a PC-chips MB with onboard VIA C3 800Mhz (2000+) which uses the snd-via82xx drivers, is GPL. I think they don't use any firmware... am I right?
