That software does not recommend using other non-free software is one
of the FSF's requirements for recommending free software. RMS has
indicated that there is a lot of free software that he will not
recommend because of this. For example, OpenBSD.

Icecat was created because Firefox recommends the installation of
non-free software like Flash. It was re-branded because Mozilla doesn't
give permission to use it's trademarks without oversight of the code
that uses them.
