What is the difference between Icecat and Iceweasel? And which one would you recommend.

I tried installing Icecat 17 locally and ran into some compilation errors (comas at the end of enums) and later it failed stating that some "dbm" were missing (probably missing dependency, haven't looked into it).

Not sure if I want to spend time troubleshooting it or try Iceweasel or something else... I also like Youtube:)
thanks

how could i down load google chrome or firefox?

Google Chrome is not freedom-respecting software. The source code is
secret (proprietary) and people who download it are asked to accept a
EULA to run it. It's not included in gNewSense for these reasons.

Iceweasel is the Debian and gNewSense version of Firefox. It just uses a
different name for trademark reasons. The version packaged is a little
old (it's based on Firefox 3.5) but it's been modified by Debian to have
all of the latest security updates.

Andrew.
