When the installer starts, a screen with a request to pick your language comes up (at least it does on Debian;I don't know if its dependent on your OS,or on the version of Gnome you use), but if the language list doesn't come up then I would assume that the installer isn't working. If that is the case, reeboot with the disk (DVD or CD) in the disk drive until you see the installer start. -- Graham Todds
