Thanks for your help Quiliro but I still am not so sure how to follow your instructions.
Currently my default sound driver is Intel ID 2807 but it doesn't even have sound controls. I switched it to VIA ID 8446 but after pressing F6 and selecting it in Alsamixer but the default is still Intel ID 2807. I couldn't follow up on your instructions for I have no clue on what to do next. And also, I realised that my internet disconnects from time to time and I can't play youtube videos properly from the web broswer. Is this because I'm running it on the live cd or if I do install another browser, it'll work fine? Regards,
