umm.. ya. speaking of what not to do, don't keep adding load to your
building transformer and not notice this.

Worked at a place where after adding more and more servers and lab
equipment every month, the transformer outside the building was way
overloaded 24/7.

I think it was already scheduled for upgrade, but it wasn't soon
enough.  It started leaking oil into the parking lot one day where
someone noticed it and called the power company.  They got there
really quick and shut it off "right now" before it could fail
spectacularly.
