  Gah, this thing's a maze of twisty bug reports, all different.  Some
people blame the kernel drivers, others the packaging, one guy blames
some other package for somehow getting the device wedged:

  Thanks.  I think.  :)  Apparently I have to do more digging.  :-p

  Since I'm here, anyone have any recommendations for an itty-bitty
USB/Bluetooth adapter that works well?

  (I'm looking for itty-bitty because I likely will also want to use
it with my Eee netbook, and having a giant dongle sticking out the
side of the unit will double the footprint.  :)  (The Asus USB-BT211
is barely bigger than the USB connector.))
