There are several issues I'd like to raise with respect to the mailing
list.

Since this is an organizational matter and doesn't really concern the
average GNHLUG browser, I'm sending it to the gnhlug-org list instead
of the broader GNHLUG list.

1. People are comfortable with posting jobs to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and
don't necessarily want a separate list, unless the posting gets
"out of control". (But I may be interpreting the responses wrong -
   what do others think?)

2. Some people are a member of the gnhlug list due to technical issues
and don't particularly care for the "friendly banter" that occurs
   thereon.

I'd like to propose that we create a gnhlug-tech list. What do you
think? I'd like it to be moderated, but we'll be needing moderator
volunteers.

Another issue is the moving of gnhlug.org to one of our office
systems. Its currently on my home system, and since we have a
(currently under-utilized) high speed line into the office, I would
like to move all of my home-based sites to the office (mostly so I can
upgrade the system at home).

However, I suspect some people might be uncomfortable with having the
site in a business. (Although people using just @gnhlug.org probably
won't notice it.)

And another thing...

News (NNTP) seems to be a better mechanism for what we're doing. I'm
wondering if we shouldn't set up a news server on news.gnhlug.org that
automatically cross-posts to the mailing lists (and have the
mailing-list cross post to the news server). I'm just throwing out the
idea for discussion (on this list).
