I think that's a great idea, Jerry!
Unfortunately, I'll be in Columbus OH that night, but I think with the strong
core group working on the project my absence will be insignificant.
One issue that I'd like to be there to help review is the early response from
vendors. If the level of enthusiasm within our group is reflected by the
vendors we contact, we should be prepared for this to become a really big
event. Planning how to manage the space and logistics will be an interesting
challenge!
On that same note, if this becomes a big event (as it seems to be!), will that
force GNHLUG to become a more formal organization? We are presently getting a
lot of cooperation from NHCTC and in the past have had strong vendor support,
but as far as I know we have no formal legal existence. If we have an event
with hundreds of attendees and perhaps dozens of vendors participating, should
we be concerned about who is legally responsible? I'd think so!
Just some thoughts, or food therefore...
