You know, it just absolutely boggles my mind that people would actually line 
up to buy an OS, of *any* kind, never mind one from MS.  Why would people do 
this?  I'm a pretty hardcore geek, but this is beyond comprehension.

Win95 I can almost accept going out an buying, since at that time Linux was 
unheard of by all but the real harcore of us, and it was a major advance over 
Win3.1 (at least from a UI point of view).  But Win2k, there's no real advance 
there, and by now I think MS has pretty much pissed off most people.

I'd really be surprised to hear that people have lined up for this one.
