Hi Everyone
This gnhlug-org distribution is indeed odd. I sent Ben an email telling him
the Linux lab is having some problems with DHCP on the Linux boxes. At the
end I tossed in a reminder about the Thursday Demo Group meeting and his
response was: "We are? Do tell. :)". So I have two people that responded
indicating that they did get the email about Thursday's meeting and two
people that seem to be still having trouble. 50% success rate on email is
not good!
This email thing is looking bad. We are going to start pissing each other
off because:
*There are still people not getting (reading??) their gnhlug-org email and
feel like they are in the dark
*Duplication of efforts. I started the idea of getting together Thursday
because other than some casual dialog between a few nobody would commit a
name or any specific ideas to getting this done. If there is some group of
people that have already had this discussion and are working hard on the
demos please come forward. I do not want to have one group start setting up
the machines only to be unknowingly trashed by a second group doing the same
thing!
Please send out a personal email to everyone you think is interested in
contributing to the LBS Demo Group. Don't rely on the gnhlug-org list 100%
since this distribution list may still be a bit unstable. As of right now
this is what I know about people coming:
WILL BE THERE: I HOPE WILL BE THERE: OTHER:
Jeff Smith Ben Scott Jerry
will loan 2-3 computers
Rick Petree Bob Knowles
If other people plan on showing then I do not know about it. I put out a
posting on the SLUG calendar so maybe if they don't get the email they might
stumble on it by accident:-|
Rick

Hi Rick,
As near as I can tell, it seems to be somewhat sporadic.... When did you
send that message?
Bob
