I agree wholeheartedly. I have been trying for a few years to get Concord area interest going. Several people from nh.gov are interested, but have other commitments. Local students haven't responded too well, but I have hope. > We should probably do a mini-NUM and advertise heavily at places > like Staples, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, the locally-run computer stores, > ... But this may take more effort that I can put in it by myself. I did put out some posters in a few of these locations, including some local high schools, and Concord NHTI, but not very far ahead. With more lead time, I can get out more posters, and people can plan better. Someone also mentioned local radio stations, etc. > Also, a web site and/or mailing list will help. They were sent a notice, but again, without a lot of lead time. We can piggyback a web site on the GNHLUG site (is that on your machine, Bruce?), but we need to know what we are putting up. Bob Knowles has offered to host the web site, & a regular mailing list. What I have is just a list of email addresses, not a mailing list mechanism. Unless somebody objects, I will send out an email asking for a vote on a meeting nite for the central chapter to catch those who couldn't show up on the previous nites.
