Actually, we handed out about 60 flyers at the LBS, and I handed out around 100 flyers after that, in Concord, Manchester, Nashua, Milford, ... I got flyers to almost every IS professional in NH DHHS (50?), libraries, computer stores, computer software companies, other state agencies, stores like Staples, small stores in Weare, & New Boston, radio & TV stations, Borders, Barnes & Noble, legislators on the NH house Science and Technology committee, even the Governor's office. I think that I need to start earlier with the next one though. This was one of the first big publicity blasts, tho. Remember the McDonalds advertising rule. They commissioned a study which decided the average person needs to see a McDonalds ad 29 times, before walking in the door once. Only 28 more meetings to go. BTW, do you have flyers for those other Linux meetings? > This was a venue that needs to be > presented by each chapter or make it a GNHLUG event as it was obvious by > the panel, that we have companies willing to do panel events with merit. (I > am already thinking of making this part of the 2001 LBS) Yes, this would be a good LBS event. Maybe even two panels. One on support, & one on applications. How about Tivo (aka Phillips personal TV), the robot manufacturers, etc. Have each panel speak from a different national guard armory. Bob Sparks Linux guru wannabe PS. I just got a fone call from someone confirming for tonit... oops, that was last nite, wasn't it. Oh well, make the day of the week more prominent on the next flyers.
