We had a conversation at Martha's one night almost two years ago after one of our meetings about this subject with many of our Steering Committee present and had unanimiously decided that any of this sort of thing was not what our list was meant for.

So, my opinion is that we forego the offer.

True, but not everyone knows that. So long as just one notice by GNHLUG
lets people know the details of where to go to subscribe, what is the
harm?
Well, it might be one thing to post a list of links to so-called "free"
magazine subscriptions. (As an aside: Nothing is free. When a business
says "free", all it means is that they have found another way to get you to
pay for it.) However, we can do that by ourselves.

We should definitely avoid any involvement with this "subscriptionnetwork"
group. First, they are a spammer. Second, they're a *dumb* spammer, as
evidenced by the fact that they didn't even hide the list of victims from
the header of the message they sent.
