1. We need a location - I'm presuming Martha's will be OK. Paul/Rob can
one of you make a reservation and figure out what the catering charges
will be?
I'll handle this. I need a beer today anyway. ;-) Who made these
arrangements last year? I'll need an approx. headcount, etc.
This is correct, the room was booked, Paul, Jeff and I worked on the menu, I did the promo items, the tree is provided by Martha's and Santa provided by Linux International, ie our very own Maddog
Thanks for taking care of this! I believe Paul and Jerry handled it last year.
If I remember correctly, it was around 35 couples. We can probably send out an
RSVP list and use Paul's RSVP web page to take reservations.
Yep, 76 people total
2. We need give-away gifts from "sponsors". (Tee-shirts, mugs, software,
...) I don't have a contact list, so if anyone has done this sort of
thing in the past (soliciting for sponsors and gifts), could you pass a
few pointers on? I for one, would greatly appreciate it!

Actually, I just got this from Jerry, but haven't had time to go through it.
Hopefully next week, but time is slipping by... Does anyone else want to work on
this?
i cannot do this this year either, sorry
3. So far, the agenda will be, in no particular order:
o My resignation, nomination and election of a new co-chair (assuming
Paul wants a co-chair). Rob Lembree has expressed an interest, and I
believe he can do a lot for the group.
Sigh. I figure my number's up. ;-)

Well, mine definitely is ... Of course, the way my luck runs, I'll probably be
laid off as soon as I resign, and then I'll have lots of time again. Sigh.
Good for you Rob....you are the right man for the job at the right time :)
o Maddog's review of the previous year of linux.
o General holiday cheer (and beer).
o Anything others want to bring up.
Can we decorate a christmas tree with old RH dists? ;-)

Now, *that* is a great idea - we can ask everyone to bring CDs of software they
don't use anymore, and put them on a tree. (Or make a tree of them).

You will have to remove all the Cd's after the meeting I am afraid, :(

good luck and I sure hope to see you all there

Jerry
