Yaknow, I was hit by an idea during my tenure as fearless leader, and just never got around to implementing it... And this idea may be a "fix" for the "high noise level" complaints...
Maybe we should have an "e-newsletter" that comes out once a month or quarter or whatever. And it could be something we could give to people at events (if we ever have any ), and inform people of this sort of offer. Of course, it would have a separate mailing list. And rather than being a discussion list, it would be a focus of things that the "newsletter" team wanted to promote about GNHLUG. And of course, this is the mission that http://news.gnhlug.org/ was supposed to fill, but that seems to have turned into a mission without a following.
