I was actually thinking about emailing maddog or the list about this, but being in my standard procrastination mode, I never quite got around to it. It had seemed, to me, that the last time I went to Hosstraders, everyone who was interested already knew about Linux. It was almost a let-down. I kind of blew off the Fall 2002 for that reason. I find I missed the experience, though, so I was toying with the idea of going back this spring. Now that maddog has taken some initiative, I figure I'll jump on the bandwagon again. maddog, you, as usual, have the coolest stuff and ideas. The projector idea sounds great. I can bring my self and my PC again. It currently has a CD/DVD reader and an 8X writer, so it can be used as a CD duplicator if needed. I can bring a laptop running Linux. I can also bring a UPS, extension cords, fans/heaters, lights, and similar junk. That demonstration on PSK, satellite tracking, and other ham-ish things that Ed Lawson put on mumble years ago went over *really* well. If would be great if we could do that again. Alas, I still have not had the time/money to explore the world of ham radio, so I can be of no help there. :-( Cheers, -- Ben Scott <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | The opinions expressed in this message are those of the author and do | | not represent the views or policy of any other person or organization. | | All information is provided without warranty of any kind. | _______________________________________________ Gnhlug-org mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnhlug.org/mailman/listinfo/gnhlug-org
