Suggestions for changes marked with a "|" at the beginning of the line
|Membership in the GNHLUG is open to all with no membership fee. We share a
|common interest in Linux and Free/Open Source Software (FOSS). Our range of
|skills, experience and interest is diverse. We are hobbyists,
amateurs, professionals, system administrators, developers, lawyers,
students, world-renowned experts and beginners. We share an interest
in learning more and in helping each other.

What Do We Do?
Representatives of the group can often be found at computer
conferences or other meetings giving presentations, offering insights
or advocating for Linux or FOSS. Several chapters of the group meet
for social and educational purposes (see the schedule below). At the
meetings, there is usually a demonstration of a program of interest
and almost always an opportunity to ask questions. There is an active
mailing list where you can seek support for problems or ask
questions. There are also several very-low-traffic mailing lists for
|meeting announcements. We are also active in lobbying for FOSS in
|our state businesses, governments and school systems.

When and Where Do We Meet?
Currently, there are five chapters meeting around the state:

NOTE: I also have the following paragraph in tabular format, and I
think it helps pick out the facts more easily. It just pasted badly,
so I cut it. I'll probably go with that format

CentraLUG meets in Concord at the NHTI on the first Monday of each
month. Details at http://www.centralug.org. The Dartmouth Lake
Sunapee LUGmeets on the Dartmouth College campus on first Thursday of
the month. Details at http://www.dlslug.org.
The Seacoast LUG meets at UNH Durham on the second Monday of the
month. Details at http://slug.gnhlug.org. On the second Thursday of
the month, the Monadnock LUG meets at the SAU 1 Administrator's
offices in Peterborough. On the third Thursday of the month, the
Merrimack Valley LUG meets at Martha's Exchange in Nashua.

Meetings typically start at 7 PM (dinner at Martha's is optional) and
network before and after the meeting is encouraged.

|While these are the usual meeting times and places, checking the
|calendar and being on the mailing list ensures proper place, time and agenda,
|and often helps with issues such as snow cancellations.
